Went out last night and had a fantastic drive home in the C6 loving the staying power of ceramics and the sheer overtaking speed, the car was perfect……..
Until I got to the station car park this morning and now feel very inadequate………………..

Yours is more powerful and has higher torque.
Yours is a V10.
It's gentlemanly and doesn't look like some Halfords bastard child screaming about how fast it is.
Those who know know, those who don't; well you probably don't care.
Yours probably isn't on lease...

To counter this comment:
Yes yours is a V10 but V8s sound better and his is faster (unless yours is tuned). Plus his V8 is lighter and his car handles better.
An RS should scream a bit, an S shouldn't and I think the C7 looks much better than the C6, those arches, wheels and lights really do it for me.
Who cares if the other chap has it on lease, it's still chucking money down the pan on an expensive car.
Sorry but I agree with the inadequate comment. I just love the C7.

I do love the C7 looks and when I can genuinly afford one I will have one.
Yes standard they are faster but I disagree that a V8 sounds better, I love the sound of a V10 and I do think whilst the C7 4.0 is a great engine it doesn't quite feel as special as the engine in the C6.
Given the chance to swap though, I'd still take the V8 in a heartbeat.
I've seen the driver of this C7 on the road and whilst he looks like a very nice gentleman (excuse me if you're on here Sir) he is a little senior in his years and when I overtook him was driving like Miss Daisy. If he want's to swap keys..............(preferably not in some kind of keys in the bowl scenario but for a C7 you never know )

I'd never say or consider the 5L V10 beast to be inadequate to anything... maybe a spaceship...
Both are engineering wonders, simple as that.

C6 looks pants compared to the C7
C7 in the flesh is just so much more wider, imposing and has far more presence than the C6
I'd have one in a flash, one values drop to something a bit more reasonable.

C7 has more torque!
When I originally test drove I was not sure it moved things on. Having driven again since I concur with Golf. It's a far better machine, in all aspects. There's nothing I'd take from the C6, even the engine. The interior, the drivetrain, the looks, it's all at another level.
And, most importantly, it handles. The C6 was awesome in a straight line, the C7 actually goes around corners. Yes, still a lot of weight to transfer, but it does it more capably than C6 ever will.
I still believe it's the best RS product since B7.

C7 takes the edge early on but C6 catches up at top end

Wow, but what does 3 hundredths of a second look like?

And they need to do in gear acceleration timing as well to get a better overall picture.

I'm not sure this video really constitutes the real world though. I think if both cars actually pressed their accelerators at the same time off the line the C7 would get away far more quickly and then would probably pretty consistantly maintain its lead. Would love to give it a go in the real world, I've got a willing standard C6, anyone got a C7 and a closed course?

bit unscientific as you can see the indactors going off so they are obviously moving left and right around traffic which will really hurt acceleration at high speed
