Carbon Ceramic brakes?

My next mod has got to be the ceramic brakes.
The OEM steels can't cope with the BHP and torque now mapped and my heavy right foot!
So apart from the OEM ceramic set up(400mm discs..huge C6 calipers)...do any of the other Audi ceramic set ups fit and if so is it recommended?
Struggling to find discs and calipers in OEM C6 flavour, but loads of R8,RS5 and 4 set ups for sale?
Even a C7 S6 set up on the bay????
Any advice welcome??

Yep seen some on eBay.de....
It's the calipers that I wanted to get used to keep costs down?
Defo my next mod just weighing up pros cons costs etc?

You really need to fit both the front and rear ceramics for correct balance. Doing just the front is OK but the balance is out and you will gain an extra 30% there about of braking performance from the rears.
I know this because I have fitted them in stages. It is very expensive but well worth every penny IMO.

How does the coding work if you only fit half? Surely it's all or nothing?

You still code it even with just the fronts.

Schmid Motorsport in Germany makes replacement discs for the ceramic calipers. The discs are made of what they call "High-Tech-Cast-Iron-Carbon" and are 420x40 mm. front and 356x28 mm. rear. Ebay says just under 5000 euros for discs and pads for all four corners.
No idea how they perform though

Useful to know there are aftermarket replacement options out there once the OEM's wear out

I have dealt with Schmid... their hybrid replacement discs for the ceramic calipers are supposed to be as good as the OEM ceramics discs if not slightly better. You have to use their Pagid race pads with his discs and can not be interchanged with the ceramic OEM pads.
The price as listed are for discs only without the discs bells. You can re use the bells from your OEM ceramic discs.

Same size discs...different style caliper?

No they won't fit straight on. Wrong discs and caliper carriers sizes and the discs bells might have different offset.
If you can buy some used Q7 ceramic calipers then I can help you with the carriers ( I have the CNC pattern).
New front ceramic calipers cost just over 1k each from the stealers.

Discs are smaller.
Calipers wont fit.
Price is more than you would pay for an OEM set of RS6 ones!
