Is it me or have prices gone up

Have my weekly/monthly look at the price of our cars tonight and it does seem that the price of an rs6 has either stayed the same or gone up. Comparing mine, 09 plate with 28k on the clock. A few months ago it looked like £35k was the max but tonight on pistonheads etc, it seems £37k to £40k is average

All good, a bit different than losing £1k a month on depreciation. :biggrin3:

Interesting. Perhaps the marketing around the C7 has re sparked an interest in the RS6 and most can't afford the C7?

I was surprised at the trade in I managed. But I still think this is calm before storm and that I got out at the optimal time, for me.

Once C7s appear, given the positive reviews I think there will be another slide.

At the moment I suspect there's an element of limited supply keeping prices elevated.

I tend to agree and said as much over on PH yesterday, advising people to wait 'till Xmas time for a C6 bargain. I think the pull of the C7 will be strong for those with deep pockets or terrible man maths, as much as would love to think my 24/25k miler is a minter and worth more than it really is!

Have to say though the C7 felt smaller inside and rear boot has a much more slanted rake to it making it not as usable IMO which was disappointing. I also thought the rear overhang and diffuser jutting out of bumper at diffuser/bumper join point was just asking for damage in parallel parking situations...ie for a London car. Like the size of the zort ovals and detailing inside ovals. Most of all I'm disappointed that it doesn't have boxed arches. New RS4 does and of course the recent cars did too, so I think they've missed a very nice RS detail with that omission. But if Harris is correct it will be a phenomenal car regardless and I can't wait for my test drive.

Yep, pretty much how I saw it.

I wasn't blown away, maybe I expected too much, but it didn't feel as special as I'd hoped. That said I'll give one a go and assess man maths. The alternative is to keep the 4 and find a two seater. More man maths, aided by mid life crisis. Or something.

Horses for courses.

No good if you have kids, dog etc.

Indeed, hence keep 4. There's always the shopping trolley for crisps and crumbs.

That's good news. :jump_clap:

I'm selling my C6 when I get back to the UK, new Cayenne has arrived and I'm running short of space. 2010 Avant Plus, loaded, Ceramic front upgrade, MRC stage 2, custom zorst, front end clear wrap, just had MOT and service at Camberley, Audi extended warranty. What's that worth in the classifieds chaps ?

Mileage?

Dependant on the above 33-35 I'd say.

Are Plus's not 40k+ still? dont think Catfood's has more than 30k.

I can't see anything like 40+

Look at the Audi used prices. Stockport had a reasonable 2008 car, it was latterly listed at 27,999.

Good car in good nick mid 30s.

Maybe for the right buyer, but not to get it moved.

C7s are here as soon as folk set foot in those there's going to be a tumble.

Asking 38 in that backdrop is uber optimistic IMO.
