Very good friend has just taken delivery of a RS6 Avant from Whetstone Audi.

Just called me to say he was on the M4 when suddenly it felt as though the brakes had been applied and loss of power and PRNDS flashed up on the gearbox selector.

Sounds like a gearbox issue to me.........its just been serviced could it be they did not re-fill the gearbox fluid properly???

Any help greatly appreciated

Get it straight back to Audi dealer...it will be under used car warranty...

Good luck....we haven't heard of any gearbox failures yet on here?

Sounds like what the early dsg A3's used to do, mechatronics unit on the gearbox..

wouldn't be the gearbox oil as that's not serviceable unless wanted by the owner.

Ouch. And the say the C5 g-box is bad
I would get it straight back to them as mentioned above.

give the car back and purchase another from the network.

If PRNDS all light up, the gearbox is in limp mode. I believe the car selects the most flexible gear (3rd?) and you have that one gear to get home or to the dealer.
