Anyone know if there is a way to do this?
I dont have kids so no worries with fingers getting trapped.

I come home, reverse onto the drive and let the dog out -then have to get out to press the close button - then reverse the car into the garage.

Would be easier to just let dog out - press close - reverse into garage.

so at the min, you reverse, let the dog out, close the boot then park into the garage?

and you want to let the dog out, close the tailgate then park up?

i think thats going to be the only way to do it, cant think of any others

its a shame you cant close the tailgate from inside.

nope, they didnt think of that when it was designed.

Probably a safety feature; you can open from inside but must be supervising the closure from the rear?

Yes it is possible. Have fitted it on both my wife's and my own car. For the wife it was a god send as she could not reach the closed button when the boot was fully open. For me I'm just lazy This is what you need

Here goes
Remove the rear interia rear boot light cover.
Remove the screws that hold the light holder
Then you can remove the large cover that runs across the rear of the car head liner
Once the cover is out of the way the two electro actuators are visble
Can't remember which actuator you need to connect to sorry
Unplug the multi plug from the actuator.
You need to connect in four wires +12v -12v. The other two are for the canbus network.
When you buy the module you will get a link to download a PDF instruction sheet.
Would say it will take 40 minutes from start to finish

not yet. hopefully today, working all week so wont get a chance to fit until next week

Before you go splashing out get VCDS hooked up to the car, my Superb also has the electric tailgate option, which like the A6 was only openable by the button or remote, now Ross-Tech have included the coding so it now opens and closes off the interior button and remote.

Got anymore info on how?

Go to 7D and adaptations, all my coding options were under there (they were not available when i bought the car)
