Prices R dropping ....

I'll not do anything until they get into the £40k's. I have a few miles to cover in the C5 and RS4 is sat in the garage doing nothing....

The dealer with the 66,880 would not take my offer of 60,000 in September.

He called me last Monday (Dec 29) and said that the price was just over 61,000. He claimed to really 'want to sell the car to me' but someone else was interested. I pointed out that it was best he sells it to someone else, as there will always be another vehicle for me.

I emailed him to ask for a colour of the 'silver rooflining' & I got no reply. Its the 3rd time that I have emailed a dealership & got no response.

I think the car is now sold as its off their website.

My dealer (in Essex) reckon they could now probably find me one for as little as £55k. He was talking about hunting through "group" stock or just swapping with another dealer. (no trade in at that price I hasten to say although still some finance packages on offer)

Me - I am still sitting on the fence, being self employed with all this doom and gloom is not helping me dig in my wallet - keeping it shut at the moment

Am tempted with the new RS6 but the prices are mad and having seen what is happening to used car prices (this months EVO) will wait longer. Plus having seen the RS5 shots also tempted for that...

Will the RS6 go below £30k in the next 18 months? I think so and then I will be definitely shopping around especially since MRC can do a re-map to 700 bhp..too tempting.

Agreed.
There are now 10 "May 08" RS6's on Audi website less than 60k

Was working in Lookers Land Rover yesterday and asked how business was - "had a cracking December, had to discount a bit but not as much as we thought"
No 2nd hand TDV8's for sale or demonstrators for that matter, if you want a new one, we can offer 12%

As they say "in a recession, it does not hit the wealthy"

Apart from hideous taste, I still find it incomprehensible that cars of this quality & luxury being ordered without a sunroof. I'd have thought this should be a standard item.
