mirrors folding upon lockig car with (advance) key
Re: mirrors folding upon lockig car with (advance) key
I would imagine any of the modules for sale on eBay would work. The appear to be all pretty much the same design.

Only downside to this I can foresee is when you need to retract the windows due to a width restriction or tight back road? If that function is disabled then you may lose a mirror or two.

Re: mirrors folding upon lockig car with (advance) key
100% true. I bet if you wired in a set of extra relays you could get the original close function working.
For me if the back road is that tight I would be more worried about scratching the side of the car with the contents of the hedge.

Re: mirrors folding upon lockig car with (advance) key
It's less of the roads themselves and more about the moron drivers of Kent who can't understand that their 4x4 won't fit past my car if they're sat in the middle of the bloody road on their mobile leaving me nowhere to go!
I drive up/down the same 5min stretch of road at least 10 times a week and on at least 1/2 of the times every.......single......week there's a Kent Moron Driver. Bear in mind this is on a single track unclassified road where 40mph is pushing it yet the morons smash around at 60mph+ whilst on their phones etc without a millisecond of thought as to what's around the bend. The number of crashes during harvest time when all the tractors are about is phenomenal (1-3 a week in a 5 mile radius) but 5* NCAP ratings prevents Darwin from winning sadly.

I thought things were bad over here in Ireland but by the sounds of it it's everywhere. Just today coming back from lunch with the family came around a blind bend to find a car stopped in the middle of the road looking at an old church ruin.

Re: mirrors folding upon lockig car with (advance) key
This to me is far too much effort for the end result in my particular case but 'each to their own'. I was really hoping that the coding that FUBAR posted, would work but evidently not according to Longman which is a real pity for such a superb car.
