Their main criteria for a good car is how far they can get the tail out in corners and how much smoke the rear tyres produce.
Got to agree with you there they are a bunch of to@@ers.

They have two track drivers to test all the decent cars. Tiff was the only journo to really rave about the McLaren F1's handling IIRC, says it all. He did say RS6 was awesome on the road and good at higher speeds on the track, so I would say thats about the highest praise Audi could hope for ?

It was a launch drive, not a review, lets be honest :( To be fair to Fifth Gear, thats what it was billed as.

I think the press car they've used for the review was so bland.
The boring silver/grey colour just does not do the car any justice, you could hardly make out the arches!
Needs to be that Blue or Black for it to start looking menacing.

That blue does look good and I would definitely go for the ceramic brakes too.

So four years after the RS6 Plus arrived we still ahve the same 0-60 time and boy is it heavy!

I thought the exhaust note was a little strange, too many cylinders, or maybe not enough!

I really don't know if I want to change my 6 Plus for one or not........wait to see one in the flesh I think.

With TG not being aired at the moment, it was only a matter of time before 5th Gear beat them to test both of these cars. And IMO it's only things like this which can keep them ahead of TG and keep the number of views!

GTR is an animal. Belongs to Ben Linney; a good mate of mine. Will be going to see this very very soon!

Thought the Autocar review was miles better than Tiff's, which was a little let down to say the least.

From 5th gears review I was a little dissapointed. It was very much a "thanks boys, enjoyed that, but what car is next". As for track performance - who the hell cares, why would anyone want to take it on the track? Surely they would have a proper track car for that...?

Hope a better review comes out or they release a lightweight pure version. If I was looking at something that expensive, I'd be chomping down an M5 or MB based on that review.
