Could the GB from the R8 V10 fit or be modified to fit the C6?

Cheers

No, not at all. Everything is totally different.

Okay, so i guess the C7 or C8 box would be the nearest fit.

Read the thread further up. Neither of them work apparently. All the details are here

Yes, i see they don't just drop in, but i guess everything is possible...it just takes time & money to solve all the incompatibility issues...to an extend, where i guess it just becomes too hard to bother doing.

From what Nick demonstrated, the easiest fit would be the Bentley box. It's a matter of who does it first so the rest can follow!

@welwynnick is the gearbox we are looking for the 8hp90A74 going by the code QGR?

This was used at the bentley 4.0 continental GT

And would the rear diff from the same car be needed with a custom propshaft or the bentley propshaft for that matter?

Hi there, I'm on holiday at the moment, so don't have everything to hand, but from memory - yes to everything.

Many thanks
When you are back, drop me an email at vasilis3690@gmail.com

I have someone in Greece willing to see can-bus details and possible connectivity.

So I'd like to get as much info as possible about fitment before I start throwing money at something that may never work!

If it does though, that will be a magnificent upgrade!

Wheelbase from the continental gt vs the rs6 is 2843mm for the rs6 vs 2746 for the GT.
So about 97mm difference.
If the propshaft from the rs6 fits the 8hp90 gearbox and the corresponding diff from the Bentley perhaps there may not be a huge problem with fitment.

Otherwise perhaps building adaptors that cover that difference could alleviate the wheelbase offset

Front propshaft from bentley is different from the audi mounting-wise.

Still trying to find out the overall length of the propshaft vs the audi one as it seems the audi propshaft won't be able to be used.

Rear diff externally looks adentical to the bentley one, so it's a matter of central main bearing positioning and possible adapter manufacturing options to see what fits where.ImageImageImage

Audi propshaft. I get the impression from the images that the rear part of the propshaft is longer than the bentley unit. In any case everything is relative to how long the gearbox is vs main propshaft bearing location which will dictate where everything mounts.

Also, does anyone know if that particular setup in the Bentley has the 'sport differential' similar to some versions of the RS6 c7.5 ? And if so, could this be a hurdle for not being able to work?

Answering my own question, the Bentley didn't come with sport diff, and looking at photos of the Bentley rear diff vs the RS6 rear diff, they are nearly identical, whereas the sport diff from the RS6 C7 is completely different

Does anyone have an access to a bentley car where with directions we can ask to check several info of the gearbox tcu?
