In my search for the perfect RS6, I continue to come across these RS6s with the rear seats removed and substituted with a shoddy cargo bed of some sort.
At first I thought someone must have modified their RS6 for some bizarre reason, then I saw two more pop up. I think the first one I saw for sale was in France (or maybe Italy but maybe that was another car?), then I currently see two for sale in Belgium (links below).
I can see this making some sense as a factory option (or frankly an aftermarket mod) for an A6, but I'm surprised to see this be so "common" on an expensive RS6.
Does anyone know anything about these?

Was this utility RS6 version a factory option?

There is nothing indicating that these are factory. I can't find a part number for these.

They aren't the same. They look similar but I suspect that's down to the carpet covering the bed extension.
I'd go for a BootBuddy Versaliner with the ProMax extension.

Jim, just want to be clear that I have no interest in these. Just found it to be peculiar that there's more than one car with this mod out there.

It’s certainly not something I’ve ever seen, in the UK to be clear, and I’ve sold Audis since 2003!
Quite fascinating, though.

They don't look OEM, do they? 240,000km is high miles for any V10 though.

Hello, I can answer that! This mod is done only to avoid to pay all the taxes that comes with this kind of powercars in Belgium. If you leave the car in its original state, it costs 5000eur each year of tax circulation + 2800eur for the first time the new owner puts it on the road and another 2500 or 4000 for a pollution tax depends which region you live.
But there is a "trick", if your car has enough of room space at the back (it is more specific but for you to make an idea), some companies can re-homologate the car into a "van"/utility car taking off back seats and seatbelts. Doing that, you avoid all theses taxes, and remains a only one of 145eur each year...
