Q5/Q7 wheels???
Q5/Q7 wheels???
Does anyone know if the Audi Q5/Q7 wheels that are the same style are the standard RS6 wheels (except larger diameter) fit the RS6?
Re: Q5/Q7 wheels???
I can only go off the maths as I've not seen it done before. They aren't an exact replacement but it's close -
RS6 - 9.5Jx20 ET38 using a 275/35-20 tyre
Q7 - 10Jx21 ET44 using a 275/30-21 tyre
You'd have to drop to a 30 profile tyre to keep the overall dimensions the same, which could be a little harsher ride quality and the face of the Q7 alloy doesn't push out from the arches any further than the RS6 alloy so that dimension is OK, but the back of the alloy is pushed closer to the RS6 suspension strut by 12.5mm which means the back of the alloy spokes "could" hit the RS6 brake caliper.
The maths aren't exactly conclusive there I'm afraid so it'd have to tested physically or you could just add a set of 10mm spacers if you couldn't find a Q7 alloy to test with first.

Re: Q5/Q7 wheels???
Watch out for Q7 wheels.
The PCD of the early Q7 known as the 4L is 5x130mm (same as the Touareg and most Porsches)
The PCD of the new Q7 known as the 4M is 5x112mm (same as the RS6, Q5, Macan and many others)

Re: Q5/Q7 wheels???
Audi use at least two different spigot sizes too. A larger bore wheel on a small spigot is easily sorted with a spigot ring but if it's the other way around the wheel won't fit.
The C6 has a 57.1mm spigot, I think all the other sizes are larger so it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks, much appreciated. Tempted to try and get a set as I think it would potentially make a nice OEM+ look.
