Stage 2 rs6

Post by Mat20vt » Sat Feb 22, 2020 6:16 pm

How do these cars handle running stage 2 power?
I’m starting to get really tempted to go down the rs6 route, there’s a few nice ones about for sale at the moment too.
Presume as long as common oil seal issue has been addressed and car has been looked after, they are ok to live with as a weekend toy??

& 2009 rs4 saloon, TTS supercharged, mrc mapped, miltek catback, kwv3, h&r arbs, gutted precats, ceramic brakes 610bhp 👍

Is there any things to look out for, oil seal is one, isn’t there an issue with coolent pipes?

It's a possible issue. Have a look in the wheel arch, driver's side on an RHD. You might want to remove the wheel arch liner to get a better look.

With C6's now celebrating a decade+ on UK's tarmac, it is a question on "when" some of the following will require replacement hence worth budgeting for if i was you, namely
- air cooler rad (especially one on driver side)
- main coolant radiator
- top arms (front)
- oil cooler rings (under the manifold)
- cats (for Stage II cars)
- plus some brittle plastic hoses under the bonnet.

Other than that they are pretty bullet proof engines / cars... and great to have fun in them :).
2008 RS6 Avant (Monza Silver)
- Stage II MRC tune with gearbox (720PS/850Nm)
- MIJ Powerflow exhaust (non-res)
- H&R ARBs
