So I've read that the V10s are ticky animals, and I don't hear this with the bonnet closed, but with it open, it's a ticking/grinding sorta noise. Phone is a bit close to the engine, so it's louder than you'd normally hear, I guess.
Some random guy's V10 on YouTube seems to sound similar...
So... do I prepare mentally to drop the engine? Or is this "normal"? I don't even know what's normal anymore.

They all sound like that, it's the sound of the High Pressure fuel system working normally.

Tad is tad noisy compared to mine tbh (maybe due to video / sound quality though).
