Re: New here sqealing brakes
Never had that problem on the RS. A number of things to look at.
Condition of the front discs and pads
Condition of the front pad anti-rattle springs
Make of pads - a 'hot' pad (as in a track spec) can squeal until hot
And the state of the drillings in the front discs - if they're full of brake dust and rust the brakes will make noise.
After all that, if the front pads don't have a damping coat on the back of the plates (like EBC pads have) a thin layer of copper grease quietens them. If there's a shim - never seen them on RS pads but every day is a school day sort of thing - a bit of copper grease on both sides of the shim.

Re: New here sqealing brakes
Somewhat related to this topic... I will be looking to replace my front pads + brake fluid over the course of next few months.
Debate i have is should i stick to OEM (Brembo i believe) or replace them with ATE equivalent?
Has anyone got any preference or tips/hints to share?
