Congrats, and drive safely. Get it on a rolling road to see what kind of power you are dealing with. They are a really well rounded product, that still feels current ( to me it does anyway)

Thanks, i'm steering clear of any mods for a while to keep the insurance folks happy with my 21 yr old. They wouldnt insure him when I upgraded the XC60 to 200hp (from 181) with a Polestar optimisation, no one touched it pure software download mainly to optimise the 8 speed auto box.
But they are happy with a stock RS6 for £196 extra pa! Go Figure that one!

Anyone any thoughts on the Warranty, i'm tempted to just go for it before it hits 60k for a year at least..

I recommend Audi warranty; it's practically bulletproof. Since owning mine I've renewed it every year, and I've used it at least once every year.
Each year it's more than paid for itself.
My latest bill (just last week) was £4600 (at Audi warranty prices) to do the oil pump replacement. I had the coolant pipes done at my own costs whilst there - cost me £96.

Thanks, I signed up for the Audi warranty last week, £110pm for piece of mind, just hope the other warranty doesnt cause any issues, probably £500 wasted but I did get 1 yrs Breakdown and at the time I wasnt aware I could have an Audi Warranty, not sure if I put the reg in their website and it said not eligible but maybe it was "owned" by a dealer at that time..

Its in for service in November so if they pick anything up then hopefully most big things will be covered.
W'ere in North Yorkshire, be good to attend some events together. We're regulars at Croft for BTCC and World Rallycross events if anyone is making the trip (just up the road from us!)

Id check with Mondial, it may already have a warranty if you got that error msg

ok see where you are coming from, just assumed the extended warranty fell off with the previous owner.
The dealer gave me the RAC warranty pretty cheap 2 for 3 but its limited to £2k so prefer the audi one
its up and running now just wondered if anyone can riggle out of a claim as I technically have 2 warranties now on the same vehicle! Will Audi stamp my RAC warranty card at service, will be the first test I suppose.
