Whilst I was at MRC, I asked Doug to map the crackle-pop sound but I'm not sure exactly how to get it as i get lucky on occasions when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd and I'd like to know what's the best way (rev range) to get it?

Stick it in S on the gearbox. You will get it all the time on the over-run once warmed up.

Yep just fitted with <beep> loads of backboxes recently, as all my neighbours hate me with a vengeance although that's quite normal for Londoners, throwing stuff on my car overnight has begun to annoy me.

I found the perfect spot around 2500rpm when shifting down, sport mode hasn't made any difference so far, it's in Manual when it's an advertisement for Kellogg's Rice Krispies.
