mpg seems wrong...

Post by pcorpe » Sat Jul 15, 2017 11:18 am

OK i know i'll get sheds of abuse and rightly so, but can anyone beat this?

I was stuck behind a long queue of traffic having not long filled up, when i noticed the range in the tanks seems off the charts from what i was used to (typically 300 ish)
i figured it would soon balance out, the further i drove, i expected the range to decrease but it didn't budge, and then being bored wondered what the max range and distance covered would be, resulting in the pic attached, so anyone else seen 430 miles?

before anyone worries once i hit the motorway I soon got the figures back to normal, just curious what others have seen, I'd assume the engine and drive train loosens up over time so MPG might get a little better, this just seemed way outta the norm...
