RS6 ABT Engine Performance Upgrade

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any idea of what is included in the ABT engine performance upgrade package for the C6 5.0 V10 and what figures this would produce?

The price for the package was around £2500+VAT....Surely it cant just be a remap for that much or can it?

Welcome to German "TUV" prices

Basically the price is so high for a re-map because the map is authorised by Audi so the car keeps it's warranty. It is "authorised" by a product certification group called the TUV who certify that the map does no damage so they, as middle men between ABT/Audi, take a cut increasing the cost plus Audi also charge ABT money for their warranty auth etc which massively ramps up the price.

WOW! That explains why its so expensive.

Does this remap basically push to car to 690bhp then or is it more?

Yeap it's around 700ps (690hp) as it's a generic remap (same one for every car as per the product certificate) rather than a remap done for your specific car which can be tweaked for more power/torque.

Again thats the TUV approval interfering as the ABT map must be identical on every car for it to get a TUV certificate which is why someone like MRC can get more power/torque becuase each map is bespoke for an individual car.

yeah they are all super expensive, we tested that and a few APRs and found them to be pretty rich and about 40-50hp under what we do in house (and most custom dyno tuning shops) for half the price.

Here are the latest APR dyno results from a fellow RS6 owner (beautiful car with ceramic brakes), ts a good tune just extremely expensive.
