You will be looking for a Bluetooth called tune2air I think you will then be able to have bluetooth connected to mmi and the tune2air at the same time. Occasionally Iv had an issue so just unplug and plug it back in and it works

Tried again today and sure enough I paired my phone and it works.
- I was put off by the whole AMI stating it does not recognise device.

Thanks to all for the advice. It's great not having to place the phone in the glovebox for music.
10/10.

don't worry about it ! its not that self explanitory , on the other hand reading back my comment it looks like i must have been drinking ! but i do agree its miles better than a wired conection. just controlling music from the mmi function is not as easy as it could be so i just do it all off my phone

Hello!

I have a question, what version is the Bluetooth (tune2air) and also I suspect it would need to connect via the MMI to connect to the ? As anything below 4.1 for me is sub-standard quality for audio purposes.

To be honest I have no idea what it Bluetooth tech it uses is , it's quality seems fine and compatible to the radio.

Most people have poor quality audio files to play anyhow

I bought the tune2air, but it dosen´t work with my 2008 2g MMI.

When pluggin in to my AMI nothing happens.
Has asked on a other forum, and got the reply that there are some compability issus with some MMI.
They could not say anything about it, just that there was a problem with some cars.

So be aware of it may not work on all cars.

Not sure what your issue is as mine is a 2008 2g mmi and it works fine , occasionally plays silly games I find you get to change song via the interface so I just use my phone

iPhone Compatibility

Maybe pulling up an old thread guys. Just bought a tune2air and plugged it into the glovebox. No lights showing at all. Plugged a micro USB charge lead into it and was able to pair with it. But once I plug it back into the mmi it seems there is no power to give me the blue flash.?? Any help would be great.

You have version 5140 software, look at the code in the middle of the SW: bit at the top of your pic

You can upgrade to the latest software, which is 5570. There are other threads on how to do this, just search

I don't know if it will solve your problem, but as said, that patch provided a lot of bug fixes etc

I would try that first

So I have tried the green hidden menu, engaging the aux output. I will need to update now as a last ditch attempt. Anybody willing to sell me a copy or guide me in the direction of a download..??
