Xenon bulb replacement hints or tips?

Trups - you've noticed I've stopped harassing for photos of the mods especially excited about the indicator sweeps.

Got the new bulbs in and replaced the fog lights too. Unfortunately it looks like someone replaced the bulbs in the past and jammed the housing cover upside down and fractured the clips so I had to gaffer tape the housing shut.

......My neighbour pissed himself laughing when I told him I was changing the bulbs

On 1 side the cover does go on upside down, the clips go brittle cause of the heat they back of the lamp under so have no chance of surviving.

To get the sweep moving along the full width of the headlight (and "modernise" the DRL's at the same time) do you think it's possible to replace the DRL 10 individual LED's circuit board with a single multi-colour LED strip instead to do both DRL and Indictator?

Easy answer is no on that Ian, The LED strip on these headlights is not on a pcb, its on a flexi ribbon like old cassettes, a 2nd system would be ran in place along side, wouldn't be easy and would possibly take a few weeks to hand make and the correct placement of the new leds would need to be perfect to get even/bright illumination. That would also leave a Void in your headlight where the old indicator is which from a personal point I don't like hence choosing this route to go down.

I will try it one day, possibly next summer when things go quite.

that setup is £1k for that with the paint work. on a dark road it would destroy a set of LED headlights brightness
