New owner and new to forum

Hi i don't really know where to start , i Got my Daytona grey C6 about 6 weeks ago and now been away working 5 weeks. She is still stock and has Audi warranty

My initial thought was to keep her standard but after reading through the forum im guessing most on here would recommend an MRC stage 2 remap?
Also when i remember is there a kind person that could supply me with the discs to upgrade my 2G MMI and also the latest Satnav DVD ( im happy to donate to the cause ,problem i have is i work offshore and i have no internet at home and ideally id like to have the discs to do this when i return?
I live in the Scottish borders so id also like to know is there any recommended garages to use up this way or am i just as well to take the drive to MRC or UNIT20?
There is also a couple of marks on the paintwork that i would like to get fixed
Drivers seat has wear as well ,so id like to get this fixed as well
She has been dechromed to an extent ,only the chrome trim around the windows remain ( everything else is black),id also like to get this changed to black

i did have other questions but my minds went blank

Any recommendations would be great

Cheers

Welcome aboard, no other car will give you and your pockets the same experience like that of a c6.

Welcome! And before anyone else says it: FON! (Check the RS246 rules, I got it when I joined earlier this year ). As Farravi says it's quite the car! As for economics....if you want a cheap runner you're in the wrong place.
I'd recommend updating the firmware as well as the discs as this will bring your sat nav bang up to date (including 7 digit postcode). A few companies do this as a retro fit and it works well. I used Hazzydays in St Albans as I live in Herts. Most of the retro fitters will accept items mailed to them so you won't have to physically take your car to their workshops. It's not cheap but well worth it.
As for the chrome bits I had mine wrapped and it looks outstanding (the Audi rings painted matt black). A recent thread discussed how the chrome window surrounds were getting affected by water damage so blacking them out eliminates this. Plus it looks badass
Mine is stock as well currently with Audi warranty. When I go for the stage 2 and GB map at MRC then I'll look at whether it's worth keeping the warranty going. This has been discussed at length on these boards so a quick search will give you tons of info.
One thing's for sure you've come to the right place! This forum is THE authority imo and there are some proper gurus on here who are massively helpful. It's not the normal Pistonheads gassing station Dick measuring keyboard commando affair which is a breath of fresh air.
Again welcome-I came from 18 years with BMW but the RS6 is without a doubt the best car I've ever driven/owned. It's not as responsive in the bends (2 tonnes will do that) but more than makes up for that in character and sheer grunt. Oh, and if you haven't got a Shell/Tesco loyalty card get one-NOW. The saying for the C6 RS6 is that the only thing they can't get past is a petrol pump!

Blimey Tom for once it's ME giving you advice! Image this is the one I went for:

Works a treat as well-as the web page says the only downside is that as it's a software hack then some of the 3D images on the map only come up as shadows. Big deal in my opinion! I had this installed soon after I got the car and it's worked smoothly ever since. The work will take around half a day. As a bonus you can mail them the main unit and they'll do the work and send it back so you wouldn't even n Ed to go there.
I had this, retrofit camera and the iPod connector sorted by them-work was faultless, highly recommend them.
