Remap

Post by Farravi » Sun Sep 25, 2016 2:59 pm

So immediately after I had my DRC replaced in May, I decided to take the plunge and go to MRC for a remap and a gearbox tune.

I do not regret it.

Went from 585ps (previously thought i was around 660ps) to 726ps and from 705Nm to 998Nm respectively.

Doug said she could do more but the bespoke in house made X-pipes were designed for typically a naturally aspirated engine and the 200 cell cats cats although are high flow magnas, they are too restrictive for the C6 engine.

So over the weekend I went ahead and had it replaced with straight pipes, bye bye drone sounding cats, hello growl.

Now to take her back to Doug for a second remap, shouldn't cost more than £150 from what I recall him saying.

Happy days.

That'll certainly give you around the same power/torque as myself.. i plan on getting the precats removed and a remap to take me as close to 800 as possible.
That will do for now :)

Yeah, I'm not sure how it'll help me as in London I can race from traffic light to traffic light but hey at least it'll be a boost to the ego |____)Image__) That's the sun shining out of my backside incase you were wondering :D
