Ceramic brake life

Hi all

Is there any set rule on ceramic brake life? I.e a car that's done say 70-80k assuming on one set?

Have read this is about there lifespan but it was just one comment across the whole forum

They have a life up to around 100k but it all depends on how they've been used etc

So if a used car has circa 70/80 k on ramics win no replacment, you should prepare for a 5k bill one time soon?

You can get the discs refurbed now but previously yes you would be looking at replacing discs. However, they may have had light use issue is only way to find out is by ultimately weighing them the wear is determined by the weight of the disc and not thickness.
