I'm showing how little I know but here goes any way. Two fault codes taken roughly 6months apart.
Does the " Right" mean the drivers side ie viewed from within or is it the opposite viewed from outside standing in front

Did you manage to swap the brains over to see if the problem moved? If not then the sensor should be checked, would need to check else for the location of this.

The first fault code appeared and I took the car to Audi they did some more checks and eventually said the whole light unit needed replacing. They replaced the near side front unit. However after just two weeks the warning light came on again.
The second fault code was last week after the unit had been replaced. I'm trying to find out if they actually changed the wrong unit as I don't know what side the "RIGHT" referees to. ????

I haven't cleared it this time. The warning light has just gone out. This happened the first time light would come on then the following day it didn't come on this would happen randomly sometimes not coming on for a few weeks. Then it came on but wouldn't go off even after clearing the fault code it just came back again. This is what prompted me to check it further and Audi said the whole light unit needed replacing.
I'm not actually sure what these adaptive lights are supposed to do? Is it obvious do they turn to light the way at a junction? Does one side fade and the other brighten?
I ask this as I've never noticed any change in the lights since buying the car over two years ago.

I never knew it had adaptives either, once my light mod is done you do notice it more, the lights bend around as you turn a corner so give you lighting in the direction your going.

If it's intermittent then get the, to check again. Did they change that under warranty?

I never noticed it until I got Trups upgrade then it's instantly noticeable as the fogs don't move so you see the adaptives moving very easily against them. The headlights move left/right all the time when driving, not just for junctions etc so if you're on a twisty B-Road their always pointing down the road regardless of the direction of the car which is great for spotting the exits of corners if you're pushing on a bit!

How much is the famous Trups light mod by the way? I have a mod wish list and if it's worth it will add it to there. There's also an interior light mod also I believe? One thing that bugs me is how weak the inside lights are so that's definitely one area for improvement.

I'm just finalising pricing for this year and that should stick until I think of a new mod but waiting on bracket to mount 2nd projectors and sweeping indicators is also going to be an option. I have 3 sets of lights in bits waiting for this mod which are hand built in the USA.

You'd be looking just shy of 1k, for full spec which will transform your headlights.

Ok cool thanks I'll have to come along to a meet to view all these mods in person...with a trip to Audi looming for the infamous coolant pipe issue (which am hoping the warranty will cover) I'll be seeing how that goes before spending more ££ on the beast-in just over 2 months I've spent over £3k on extras (new MPSS tyres all round, retrofit reverse camera, update firmware and mapping and the black wrap work and alloys)
