I'm considering getting my C6 cleaned of carbon.
Has anyone had an experience of Teraclean?
I've been quoted £320 to do inlet & Teraclean.

Reviews look good but there's no before and after stats or images.
I've no issues with he car but I'd rather be ahead of problems.
Advice appreciated
Dave
Tera Clean - Has anyone had any experience of them?
Re: Tera Clean - Has anyone had any experience of them?
I did, but haven't a clue whether it made any difference, tbh the engine was not heavily built up with carbon so I am not sure if it was a worth while investment for me personally but on the other hand I am glad I did it. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

It's not worth it on the RS6, here's my carbon cleaning thread with before/after pics of a carbon clean done by hand (much better than Terraclean) after 96K miles and you can see the carbon build-up at that mileage is absolutely minimal.

Thanks Farravi
Yes I did see your post Ian. I personally think that's quite a big improvement. Certainly it is for the better and best to be done than not.
Also I am only considering this with bhp not being standard. I'm assuming there will be more carbon than standard setup

Re: Tera Clean - Has anyone had any experience of them?
My pics were with the engine doing 80k miles stock and 16k miles at Stage 2. While the after pics are great the actual measurable benefit is so small I'm not sure it's worth the £600-ish cost of a hand clean vs the performance increase. Plus a Terraclean wouldn't touch the back of the valves either as it's a DI engine, although I understand they are doing a different version which is sprayed into the inlet instead of the fuel line.
