Yer I need to fit braided hoses and see if that helps the feel.

If u r stock u need to go stage 2 + GB IMO - it really is night and day - it really transforms the car into a true supercar

Right so I have sourced
1. H&R ARB - RRP £362 + P&P but I have managed to get them for £310+ P&P
2. H&R Springs 30mm - RRP £270 + P&P and can get hold of them for £220 + P&P
If anyone, is interested let me know as I am about to place my order and can only get this discount price one off from a contact, these are genuine and brand new. Any questions, PM me.

Does anyone know how to check the DRC is working as it should, couldn't find the option on Vagcom except for electronic suspension which isn't registering any faults. I have spotted a leak on the OSR shock lines.The power steering reservoir was running low.

Im pretty sure its a sealed system so the power steering has nothing to do with it, if your P/S is low then maybe you have a leak on your rack/pipes as for the DRC leak they normally bang when starting to fail.Farravi wrote:Does anyone know how to check the DRC is working as it should, couldn't find the option on VAGcom except for electronic suspension which isn't registering any faults. Not a very common issue on these mind.

Hmmm, well taking her in tomorrow so we'll find out the source of the leak from the rear o/s suspension. From initial glance, the pipe that was leaking looks like it's connecting to the rear o/s shocks. Will report back. Cheers Tom.

Hi Farrari, I had the same issue with mine (nothing registering on the Vagcom) and I could hear / feel through the steering, suspension clatter on the move. One of the capillary tubes was leaking and made the car sit lower as a result. On investigation one of the shocks had shot it as well so used it as an excuse to fit KW coilovers. Didn't get the ARBs though as i didnt want to go the extreme as its my daily driver, albeit it may end up on my to do list again ...

Front axle suspension
So here's the dilemma. I have bought the front 2 struts/shock absorbers (OEM), the H&R 30mm springs, the H&R ARB kit, the full front suspension controller arms (12 pieces) Meyle HD.
The tube/line feeding into the o/s rear is where the leak was identified and having spoken to a few specialist, it's likely that it's the o/s rear strut / shock absorber that's knackered as the car is permanently sitting low in the O/s rear so when I go over a bump or brake the car tends to dip diagonally into the n/s front giving the illusion it's the front that's got a problem.
The DRC will need to be bled, create a vacuum and then recharge it via KBee666 a fellow member who has a garage and acquired the VAS 6544 kit to carry this out on his RS6, based in Norfolk.
In the meantime I will need to order the O/s rear strut / Shock absorber, the DRC line / rubber tube and possibly the DRC valve plus labour to fit all this.
To add to the shenanigans, I will have to get the car towed from London to Norfolk from my mechanics garage once he's installed everything so that Kevin can do his bit for the DRC recharge.
KW V3 coilover seems so much more appealing financially speaking but also as it means future proofing myself from a failing DRC.
Should I just scrap the DRC and go for the £2.5k KW setup and sell the bits and bobs on eBay?

I'm now on KW3 coilovers and can confirm that IMO the cost difference is worth the investment. Ride quality is much improved,its much more confidence inspiring in corners etc and have the comfort that something aint gonna brake on me anytime soon. The car feels so much more planted and steering feedback has been improved which is a bonus. The factory ride height is perfect for me as they like a speed bump in Dubai.
IMHO your considerations would really be down to resale, ie whether or not you want to retain the DRC settings on your car as the KWs come with a deletion kit and will no longer be active......If this doesn't bother you...With the KWs, H&R ARBs, Meyle kit installed etc it will be

After much thought and deliberation, started from DRC then considered KW V3 coilover then to Air Ride, debated with many experts, my decision is to replace the OEM DRC system even though it will cost around the same ball park range of 2.5k as Coilovers, the DRC is a dynamic setup and for my personal use which will be mainly on the roads, it is best suited for my style of driving.
All three setups are prone to failure as they are going to wear and tear especially the perishable parts, granted that the DRC has a higher risk of failure due to the pressurised oil valve system that could leak again and cause strut failure, I think I've made the right decision.
