Should I move her on...
Re: Should I move her on...
As per the ebay link ones (https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/201415985590) has anyone experienced the 3m stickiness as an issue ? - reason I ask is that im based in Dubai and the temps of the car if left outside might be an issue?

Re: Should I move her on...
I use 3M 2mm double sided Foam cut to shape rather than the supplied 3M sticker (which I removed as I think it's too thin) and I've had no issues at all.
I've just ordered the silver set above to replace my CF set as, like TomRS mentioned, they work but the looks/feel a bit cheap.

I bought two just to make sure that I could get 100% coverage as I wasn't sure one would be enough.
Just be careful when you fit them, quite a few people have had the paddles jam in the "pulled" position afterwards and you have to strongly push the paddle away from you to free it. It'll keep doing this for a few weeks until the little plastic tang inside the paddles which causes this issue, breaks off. It has no effect on the paddles operation once it's "snapped" so I've no idea what it was there for. Mine did this when I did the CF ones and there's lots of posts on here about the same thing.

+1 that's what I used... 3m double sided tapes comes off in the summer heatTrups wrote:JB Quick weld, will never come off again.

Too much power is barely enough.

Re: Should I move her on...
If I'd used JB Kwik Weld on my current cheap CF paddles, I'd be buggered now I want to change them. I also may decide to change again in the future to a proper CF set (because I like me some CF) so using the foam gives me flexibility to chop and change as I like plus the foam also lasted throughout last summer without coming off.
However, if your confident that once you fit these paddles you'll not want to change them (or replace them if damaged) then Kwik Weld is perfect!

Re: Should I move her on...
I wasn't sure if I like the silver paddle and black CF extenders (odd colour mix), or the silver paddle and the silver extenders (colour match but no CF) or a set of black paddles and CF extenders (need new paddles) so for the time being I'm sticking with the all silver look.

I'm stuck in the where do you go next camp now, so I'm keeping it for a while at least. I just feel that any car I go to now must have at least 700bhp which makes choices very tough and expensive!
Hi R33,

I have to admit, I cant find a sedan that has all the aspects that I like of the RS6.

A keeper for me for sure as my four door sedan

cheers,

Re: Should I move her on...
What about power to weight? I'd have thought a lighter car with 500bhp would be as quick?

You've got a piece of Pork, it's a perfect complement to the '6. The only that could flesh out that arrangement more would be a track mosquito - something track-focused, lighter than a bird's fart with about 200-300BHP.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Yer that's the issue with the porker, it keeps going up now, so what wouldn't have been too bad two years ago to prank at the ring, is now a bit of a bugger!
