Tuned c6 RS6 vs 2015 GTR - who would win?
Anyone on here had a run in with a new GTR?
My C6 has primary cats removed, valved MTM zorst, BMC filters, engine and GB map. One of my employees has just bought a 2015 spec GTR ( must be paying him too much) - was wondering if anyone else had come across one with similar set up to mine??
I will inevitably drag him soon enough but doubt I'll get him from the off. I've seen a few screen shots of 3 sec cars here but I've never held the revs for fear of destroying the GB
Interested in some feedback.

Re: Tuned c6 RS6 vs 2015 GTR - who would win?
I thought the latest GT-R's were about 2.5s to 60mph?
Doubt you would catch/pass him until high speeds from a standing start.
Could always load the race by implying he'd be sacked if you lost....

Best bet would be a rolling start, higher the speed the better
or jam potatoes up his exhaust in the work car park

Re: Tuned c6 RS6 vs 2015 GTR - who would win?
If you both started from standstill on a long enough bit of road I'd say you wouldn't pass him until 150+ at best. His GB is much, much better than the c6 slush-box so the speed advantage he build up getting to 100mph means the RS6 would struggle until the RS6's 100-180mph awesome power advantage/gearing came into effect.
If you both started at 100 if would be more equal to 130-140 then you'd pull away but probably not as quickly as you'd hoped.
My mate had a MY13 GTR which I've played with a couple of times (now sold for a Q7
). It was a SVM stage 1+ with 563hp and below 120mph it was faster than mine 120-155 about equal and I pulled away slowly over 160mph and then quicker over 170-200mph (he only hit 186mph).

DSG launch, speed of shifts and gearing means very little car beat a GTR off the line ... rolling start a tuned C6 is more than a match

I can confirm that my tuned RS6 with passenger on a rolling start from 50 mph on airstrip killed my oem 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo with driver only.HYFR wrote:DSG launch, speed of shifts and gearing means very little car beat a GTR off the line ... rolling start a tuned C6 is more than a match
By the time the lambo hit 100 mph, the mighty RS6 was ahead by six car lengths!

This was not on! Could not have the german bruiser cousin beat up on its beautiful Italian cousin.
So as the lambo running the same engine as the RS6, bolted on a couple of 62 mm turbos. That did the job, but the power from the RS6 is much more cost effective by a very long way and the RS6 has two extra doors and a back seat plus not as shouty

just my two cents worth.
cheers,
john

Suggest 'best of 4'...coz after 3 launches (assuming he's gonna use launch control) he'll need to get his GB oil changed if he's to stay in warranty!!!
