Sad day, I'm sure it'll go to a good home. I know a few of the guys there that will be responsible for the overall sale of it. They're pretty big C6 fans after having travelled in mine. I'll keep you posted on the sale if you like, pretty sure it'll go quickly. There is a demand for good RS 6 in the dealer network.

Btw, can you not keep it? Mine hardly gets any use, 4k between MOT's (big chunk of that Le Mans), but it's just cool to have it there. If I knew I'd have a decent company car I dare say I wouldn't have gone C6 RS 6 but something more nimble and fun but now I've got it I've just ended up holding on and with no immediate plans to sell, year two of ownership next month!

been a few weeks since the RS6 went .. I do miss it, however an really enjoying the difference of a Tesla ..

Living with a Tesla S - Build quality is pretty great for a US car, not quite Audi like .. more VW level of build, its the little things like when you move a panel rubber strip and look behind and see a rough aluminium panel edge etc, but you do have to go looking. Interesting that when washing it there are way less "water traps" on the Tesla than the RS6 .. ie those chrome/ finish strips that hold onto water and drip it down the bodywork for hours leaving water marks .. OHH and regen braking I love .. as its NO brake dust on the rims, that has shaved at least 90mins off me washing the car :D

Not done more than 150 miles in a day so not had to plan recharge / range yet .. that will come with time . just part of a new planning exercise

I am really missing the quattro, RWD going into winter for me is a "challenge" .. however this is a fill in car until the 700hp "D" AWD twin motor I have on order arrives in July (read probably September or later in Tesla months) next year, so not "that long" to go while I think every ditch has a love affair for me

Some pics from after I gave her a quick wash

Hope to see some one post up pics of their new "RS06 TOY" on this board soon and then I know it went to a good home

Graham

Just read the whole thread, well done with the sale. I too am happily ensconced in non-RS6 world (Cayenne V8 Diesel), but look back regularly. Had a facelift (PI?) A7 as a hire car in Belgium in December, great car, great looking car. Slightly twee sweeping rear indicators. Might think of considering a C7 RS7 later in the year, depends on availability, some horror stories on the C7 forum.... All the best !

Its a cool car .. My "D" is now due slightly earlier than when I ordered and is showing as coming in late may, meanwhile I am pottering around in the 2WD P85S I got.. just the 4.2 ish seconds to 60

The work they did on the 2 motor "D" allowed development of new software which they are saying will shave approx 0.1 secs off the 0 to 60 times shown in that video above and will also benefit the old RWD cars with a improved 0 to 60 time, all in a SW download that appears automatically with a bunch of other features as well :beerchug:

How much control over SW updates do you have (officially or otherwise)? ...just in case the Nanny state kicks in at some point (say, following a high-profile incident involving a footballer/WAG and the back of a bus :) ).
