Question/Advice 21" tyres?

Post by RS6chris! » Tue Nov 26, 2013 8:20 pm

Hoping to get some 21"s Before Xmas?

Been looking at 21"rotors on German ebay.

Wheels I can suss out....BUT what tyre spec do I need?

Most that come with tyres are 275 30 21..but 98Y???

Doesn't the RS6 have to be 102y?

A confused Chris?

Any tyre and wheel experts?

Also OEM 21" rotors are 35offset...these should be ok?...of course il need spigot rings?

Yep, must be 102. Y is speed rating so your call, but you'd be hard pushed for anything lower.

OEM 21" rotors for the 4G A6 or 4H A8 are ET35 but only 9 inch wide.
Therefore you'll lose concavity and also they will have 5mm less poke than OEM 9.5inch width wheels.
You'll need to space them out by at least 15mm to sit flush with the arches.

You'll also need spigot rings.

I think the 21's for the 4G A6 have offset of ET25. Way too much messing about to make them fit properly IMO. Best buy wheels that fit without spacers and spigot rings.
Too much power is barely enough.

Normal C7 A6 rims are ET35 mate but the C7 RS6 wheels are ET25 and they certainly dont fit the C6 without a bit of rub.

Agreed though that if your'e gonna spend the money to upgrade the rims, get something different, and something that fits ;)

The ADV08's definitely suits the 4G, might also look great on the 4F

IMO, eight spokes doesn't suit the C6... 5 spokes does as always.

In regards to pricing..... 9000 USD + shipping+ import DUTY+VAT gets you the very best from them. :bigblink:
