It's expensive to go that extra 60PS. Nige's C6 did triple seven on a cold day, his wasn't stage 3.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Yeah mine will end up stage 2. Too much time, money and hassle to go down the turbo route.

Supersprint 767312 are the de-cat pipes. Google is your friend. I'm sticking those on with a Milltek too. Primary cats are right at the top of the downpipes, which I have been told is engine out to remove. So won't be bothering with that, also would like the thing to pass an MOT when it's time !

Hi Paulm. :bigwave:
I am also looking at installing a sportsmile exhaust system or similar. 3" downpipes from turbos to tailpipes, 100 cell race cats (magnaflow) and aux cats and resonators removed, based on information, dyno charts and installation photos kindly provided by Tomasz.

see: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... =1&theater

Based on installation photos, it does not look like you have to remove the engine. Maybe undo a few things and remove some heat shield (?).

It would appear that a stage 2 map with sportmile type or equivalent exhaust system might deliver approx 780bhp.
I reckon that exhaust might be a bit boomy, but the price for power. :boohoo:

just my two cents worth.

Not on face book so can't see link. I Will have a better idea if it is engine out once I get it home. I have a 4 post ramp in my back garden so easy enough to work out if it is doable or not with engine in.

Be interested to hear how you get on though

700+ is more than enough and whenever you change turbo's (which you'll have to do to get 800+) you'll have no end of Oil flow and cooling problems. The torque will stay pretty much the same as it will be limited to save the gearbox so you'll only notice the extra 70 odd extra brake when your full throttle between 6000 and 7200 by which point you'll be a third of a yard further down the road than a standard turbo car who by the way would have beaten you off the line due to less lag!

Not to mention that the brakes and chassis are at their limit at 700+ and you'll never escape the 2000kg kerb weight unless your name is David Blaine.....

But by all means part with 15k to get 800+ brake and come back and post your experience here as we all want to know because that's the lifeblood of a specialist forum.

I write this as a racing driver of 15 years who has wasted A LOT OF MONEY trying to prove that my theory is better than a 200 strong OEM R&D department with £920 million annual budget! :)))

Best wishes.....

Streem.

I agree with most of what you say. But playing is all part of the fun.

if I do decide to go for more than 700 I most certainly wont be spending 15k. Anyone with any mechanical ( i am a mechanic to trade) knowledge can fit an exhaust and some hybrid turbos.

A custom remap on the rollers then on the road can be done in a day so looking at 1k tops. I accept I have time knowledge (just :? ) and tools on my side so I am maybe lucky but 15k never.

99% chance it will never happen though. My kids and myself race karts and most of my time is taken up keeping the karts going. Great fun and just about affordable

Intresting by Streem.......as i said before 700 plus is stupid power....but probably at the limit of what this car can do long term reliability wise?......also without ceramics going past 700 bhp is madness..IMO....my car struggles standard with steels.....id rather spend money on ceramics and a map to 700 odd...rather than thousands trying to get 800 plus.
