My only worry when I go to Europe for Christmas and I miss services and will not make to another
Andrew, I find the sat nav is pretty good in Europe in advising on the next station, also the signs in both France and Italy ( my primary EU driving areas ) normally tell you how far to the next station. I make an annoying habit of driving to a 1/4 tank and or 100k's on the range and filling up ( that or refuelling when the kids need a pee, this way I know I should be safe. If you hit hills or are heading off the motorway, then the 100k range limit gets eaten up fast. Maybe my OCD kicking in, but it works for me! Also don't forget off the Autoroute/ Strada lunch time closure of Petrol stations is common!

Was running Std power on way home as car likely sold now in std form ;-) but tbh have not really noticed a difference in mpg post mapping.

8000 miles to date in my C6 Avant. Averaging 15.7 mpg (brim to brim - 16.2 according to readout so its quite accurate). Range from low of 9 to high of 21 mpg. Mainly short runs from a cold start. Very little Motorway running. Just fitted third set of tyres at 25K miles (car had done 17K when purchased). As far as I know still on original discs and pads and still looking good all round.

Was in office today so switched to Comp2 to display trip Average Fuel Consumption for the trip home for a data point for OP's concern re high consumption

Engine cold .. Chiswick business park to M4 .. Slow and lots of stationary traffic ..(turned DVD on and watched "The Matrix") .. Average 6 mpg
Joined A4 and chugged out to bottom of M4 .. 30 mph max .. up to 9 mpg average .. matrix hit Final fight scene :) around Audi North London :beerchug:

M4 .. up to 70 .. cruise .. MPG average wanders up to 19.1 mpg by the M25 junction 19.4 by J6

Pull off at J6 and blat down Windsor road to get on to back roads to Home ... .. 17.8 mpg now

40 mph cruise to the "drift roads" .. still around 17.5mpg .. Clear run home now ... arrive home with average on comp2 at 17.1.. thats with the last 5 miles of lovely country roads taken with "gusto" :beerchug:

Thats pretty good for such a big beast. I'm not sure if the c6 rs6, rs5 or even Jag xf-r will be the next car in a years time. I love grizz's c6 but me and the wife also like the rs5 and jag. I'd even go for the xj-r but it's a little too big for the wife to park every day
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Got an MRC remap with decatted exhaust and gearbox remap. With the extra torque it balances out in town and get around 14-16 on my average routes. but as soon as you floor the thing ive once seen 6mpg !
Quattro in all seasons for Ass Kickin reasons.

I think we got 20.5 on the run from Sussex to Florence, and that was "going over the top" at the Alps rather than through the tunnel. Quite happy with that. Not happy with the fuel prices!
Has anyone ever seen less than 5 mpg on the display - or is that the lowest shown? Usually keeping my eyes on the road but glanced down to see '5' when right root was a little 'heavy'
