I have a Road Angel Vantage also...good piece of kit.
does any one else get the idea Robbo does not like his car ? 8)

Robbo - out of interest what car have you changed into?

I also wonder then if the RS 6 is too quick/thirsty/heavy for some what the "best of all worlds" is?

On the Fuel Cost, VPower in Italy costs around €1.76 a ltr, approx £1.50, as a result I reg have fills over €120.00.
As Moochers comment says.........
I enjoy the smile too much to let it be a worry!

About 23mpg, almost 30mpg on the motorway.

Cheers me up, no-end, seeing as my RS6 only gets about 18mpg on the motorway.

It's all relative.

Hi Fothers,
Lucky enough to have an original 1973 911 2.7RS for weekends etc, so the buzz element is there with that. Had an X5 SD before the RS6, and swapping back into a 4.0 SD. Heavy into Surfing and mountain biking so need the space. Have a place in West Wales so visit every other weekend , 300 mile round trip....cameras everywhere. The novelty of 'point and squirt', along with the seriously huge fuel bills have unfortunately led me to get out of the RS. Good car, but as I've said previously...too many cons.

2.7RS now if you are used to that sort of weight, no wonder! I really like the Cayman S for the similar reasons. With your activity I can see what you mean about the shops!!!!

Yep, gotta say I loved every single penny of it, but after 2 years of ownership I still (hand on heart) think the C6 is a great place to be!

agree with the mooch on the fuel

RS6 as a 800mile monthly work hack is not a good idea :)

how many owners of the RS6 C6 who previously had a RS6 C5 would go back to the RS6 C5?

I have a RS6 C5 and thinking about changing to RS6 C6, but have read mixed views from C6 owners on the forum. Some that C5 is a little lighter and more of a drivers car, if you can call our beasts that.

Other C6 owners, appear to have view that the sheer power of the C6 is all that counts and makes up for the extra weight. Our Russian friends certainly seem to believe that from what i see on YouTube!

Also that C6 has better 6 speed transmission that will take big power upgrades.

DRC on the C6 may be better than on C5, but that would not be too hard!

I am not concerned about fuel consumption as "how much power do you want? How much fuel do you want to burn?"

Any opinions appreciated.

life is relative ... C6 RS6 is a brute of a car .. but is so so much fun to drive .. I average 16mpg in mine, so you do the maths .. does not matter which alternative car you pick as it is (IMHO) "Smiles per Miles" and the RS6 C6 scores a couple 100 of them

My love affair only gets more intense with this car.

For info, on a Euro convoy ( Mrs following in her 3.0TDI Q5 ) I managed 23.9mpg ( maybe that was all down hill after the alps??? ). I was gob smacked especially as I did take some advantage of the unrestricted parts on the Autobahn. As a Mile bashing Euro cruiser its great, but such a potential Point magnet here, I must be careful!
