LED lights and other warnings
Hi - had mine for just over a month. Brilliant. But I've had so many warnings. Within 20 miles from Audi Coulsden an oil one, easy..., then left front side lights, intermittent when hot...., then tyre monitoring system failure, intermittent....., and lastly both front LEDs have packed up. Under the warranty pro, but is this all normal stuff, it's becoming a bit of a joke in the family as to what it's going to moan about next!

RE: LED lights and other warnings
I'm afraid the intermittent warning about the lights is all too familiar. I'll stick £50 on you noticing condensation in the headlamp units next.
Like you said, it's covered by the warranty, but it is very annoying.
Welcome to the forum, by the way. Any spec details of your car? I'm nosey like that, and I'm not alone.

It's a dark blue Avant, lots of extras (but can I get the mmi to accept an iPhone ....), 2008 with 15k on it Had a 911 Turbo before this and trust me it's as quick! No badges whatsoever, great Q car.

RE: LED lights and other warnings
They should synch up, although you've only got a minute or so to do it after switching on the ignition, if I remember correctly.
I too came from a succession of 911s (via an RS4) and don't miss them one bit.

When I synced my iPhone the other day, drove me mad but, I think I caught a trick....
The issue was that the car only waits a short time for you to enter the code into phone before telling you sync not completed?
Well... seem to remember at the screen when the code is displayed hold the MMI main knob down, it freezes giving you time to enter the code in the phone, hey presto!
Hope this helps
I've raced a 911T, left it... great fun!

Thanks all. Finally sorted the phone, but if you use the wire to connect directly to the MMI it doesn't like the iPhone. To be fair the manual suggests compatibly issues, but has anyone cracked charging/getting music from an iPhone? Not life critical but.....
RE: LED lights and other warnings
I charge via the cigarette lighter and plug the iPod into the AMI instead.
You're right - iPhone sulks if it's connected to AMI.

Had similar problems with iPhone and the AMI interface when I got mine in May - went back into the workshop for a full software update but still no joy, technicians started the line about not compatible with latest iPods / iPhones.
Then went back in a few weeks later to have another go at getting it resolved and the parts guy came out, took one look and said they had given us the wrong cable to connect it to the AMI unit - 5 mins later all up and running with not a problem since.
We didn't get the wrapping with the part code for the cable but if the code is on the cable I'll post it up.
iPhone with Bluetooth seems to work fine, might have been all the software upgrades that fixed it though.
