28k for a 1999 model?? That's pretty good in my book.
Were the old ones cheaper to maintain?

Don't know about that, but they are bl00dy ugly. Saw one on the M1 the other day, sounded like it had a (baked) bean can for an exhaust and asthetically looked like something my 4 month old would draw. I wouldn't pay 28p, let alone 28k!

Yeah but the point is that the residuals seem to be pretty good (particularly when it's pretty dated looking now) for a good low mileage example. Hopefully the R35 will be the same.

i'm sure the GT-R is a fantastic weapon, but it's not really got the same target market as the RS 6 - i mean the idea of me driving an GT-R, no thanks - if i was in my late 20's i'd be driving a GT-R, but for ferrying the wife, children, dog, clients, etc, i'll stick with something low key and discrete thanks all the same. the GT-R would murder an RS 6 on the track, but somehow thats not the point !
