Post by Akira » Thu Jul 01, 2010 9:36 am

Thought I'd add some pictures, gave the car a big clean and wax this weekend and took some snaps on my phone. Apologies if the quality aint up too much but it was an iPhone!!

Love the plate.
I was thinking along the lines of RS06WTF or FFS, OMG earlier in the year.

Thanks for the comments, especially about the plate, it's been on several M5's and an M6 prior to this car. I used to have V8 WTF as well on my old RS6 but foolishly let it go with the car (would've been spot on for my ML)

Decided to go for the Saloon as the boot is huge, and unlike the older iterations of the S6/RS6 I think the Saloon has lost the fugly tag. I'm amazed at what you can throw into the back of this thing!!

Reminds me, still have V80MFG to get rid of as its sat on retention.....

Yep, filling the ML up is actually quite funny, I can pull in and start fuelling, someone else can start after me, finish and pay and I'm still stood there!!!

akira, i feel for you on the ML. Obviously each to there own but i've never seen the point of the AMG ML, for less money you can have a faster avant/estate car. Comes a time when size will always catch you out no matter how hard the manufacturer has tried to hide it.

The ML is a great car, 3 years I've had it for. And on the rabbit run this year it did me proud. Topped out at 186Mph tho, a CLS63 with the same map carried on into the 190's.
Its a great car for just throwing junk in and for surprising a helluva lot of people at the lights. It really did surprise some of the RS4's as well

The RS6 is my inbetween car, i got rid of my M6 Cab and plan to get rid of the ML too as the RS sits right in the middle of them both

What is your opinion of the Q7?
If you had to choose between the RS6 and the Q7, what would it be?

Did you buy that privately as I used to know someone with a Nogaro Blue B6 S4 in the North East who used to have that plate a few years back before they chopped the plate and car in for a Mugello C5 RS6 Avant?

I bought the plate from DVLA and had it on my RS6 Avant, I sold the plate via Tyresmoke to someone up that way, Dave I think (definitely slept since then)

The Q7 has a better stereo.

The RS6 has a better soundtrack.
