RS6 & Blackberry 8900 (Bluetooth)

Post by MattC » Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:07 pm

Has anyone managed to get a Blackbery 8900 Curve paired with their RS6?

I set my phone to listen, on the car, search, it finds the device then wont connect.

I have upgraded the firmware to 4.6.1.206 (above the Audi tested version)

Anyone help?

Are you trying to use rSAP mode, if so you need to enable it on your BB.

Easiest way is to search from your phone for the car and use the passcode 1234, this is HFP mode.

Which phone is your car fitted with, mobile preperation, £350 option or bluetooth car phone, £900 option, they pair differently, the phone prep pairs as descriped above, but with the bluetooth phone it's easier to search for your mobile with the car, you will then have to enter a 16 figure code.
Also, if you aren't the original owner, the code 1234 may not work, it may have been changed, but you will find that in the menu.

Yep mine worked out of the box. Just a bit fiddly to setup initially but works fine in both rSAP mode and Handsfree mode. You can choose which method to connect if you go in to the Bluetooth menu (bottom right corner). It remembers the last way you connected and uses this each time the car and phone pair - however you can force it to change in this menu between the two. The first time you use rSAP you will need to enter the random 16 digit PIN the MMI generates into the phone. Ditto if you use Handsfree, but it is only 4 digits.

Also any text you receive whilst in rSAP mode can later be accessed from the Blackberry - quite neat.

How do you get the diectory on the menu? When I am in SAP mode the Curve is locked and I seem to be limited to incoming calls only or manually dialling calls from the Audi screen?
