How does a stage1 compare?

Post by tartan_rob » Sat Dec 20, 2008 3:13 pm

As the subject says really. How does a Stage1 RS6 comapre with a std one? When I test drove a std car it felt very progressive but no real kick in the pants from the power.

It'll feel the same but stronger ;) can't get too much of a kick in them because of the usual weak link: the gearbox. But they are pretty fast for sure, and thirsty too, 140 miles per tank on heavy autobahn driving!!!!

mmm. It is the kick from the turbo's that dissappointed me. My current RS6 has kick in abundance and is getting around 32mpg on motorway too, albeit when driving less than 100...

I know they are very quick, but would like it to feel very quick too....and perhaps some kind of gearbox tweaks are possible too..?

Or should I wait for the new S4..?

I agree with Rob's on this, the kick just isn't there compared to a tuned C5 RS6. I know it is fast, it just didn't feel it.
