Post by victor2vt » Tue Jun 10, 2008 9:05 pm

Just wondered what their reaction was ?

No chance

Possibly, if you'd be willing to place an order and pay a deposit today, let's sit down and talk ?

Could give you some options FOC

Interested in our demo ?

Would you be looking to P/X your present car? (give you over book to tempt you)

Any other incentives ?

Cancelled my order 6 weeks ago. Dealer rang and offered significant discount if I were to reconsider.

I haven't had a single enquiry for financing a new RS6 which I think sums it up.

No, but I have been contacted with offers of discounts. £3k before even trying. Going for a little look today.

have you had a look on pistonheads? The independant dealers which buy to speculate are now selling them at list for immediate delivery!

Plenty about but I wasn't able to get any to move on price.

Docklands Audi had one unsold in their showroom and another available in storage - they gave me an extremely high trade in price against my existing car but it was still 5k off where I wanted the deal to be because the balloons were very low.

9 demonstrators on the Audi web-site at the moment - 7 of those have been on there for a month and haven't moved since I looked in early July - even less of a deal offered on the demonstrators than the new cars.

I've ended up buying a 15 month old 4.2 Q7 S-Line (24k depreciating from new!) until the RS6 prices hit reality levels - but as soon as they do, I'm in one...

Very interesting ...

I placed a 1500 pound deposit in January 2007. After an extended test drive (which was very hard to arrange) that lasted 4 days, I confirmed my intention to buy with the dealer that took the deposit. He offered me cars which were already in production, so I asked what discount was available. "None" he replied .. and it took him a while to realise that if I was not getting a discount, I'd prefer to specify the car to my exact colour and requirements.

I'm planning to move my order to another dealer and have been offered 3 % discount.

Although I am eager to get the car, I'm still planning to keep my 2003 RS6 .. its too special to part with !
