Hi Guys,

I have to agree with all of the comments. I test drove one last Friday and I had to admit to the salesman that I preferred my own car (an 04 RS6)
I also tested the S5 the same day and was completely smitten.

I also managed to get him to admit he thought the car was over priced.

I arranged another test of the S5 for Sunday, so my wife could also have a try. She was also smitten,

She was keen to try the new RS too, as a comparison to our model. I had made similar comments to all of yours. There's no noise, the performance was not too impressive, I didn't feel involved in the drive, etc.,

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I bought one and also ordered the S5. Once I had taken it for a longer drive I was completely converted. I must admit though I felt the S5 was still a more involved drive and I can't see myself owning the RS for a long time. I've had my current one for over 2 years and enjoy it every time I drive it.
The chance to buy the RS came up by surprise and a wee devil on my shoulder took over, but hey you only live once. I don't consider it pocket change and feel it's a big risk to buy it, but as I say the longer test had me converted. It's a truly amazing, do it all, vehicle

Anyone want to buy an 04 RS6 ?
Currently have an RS6 and recently sold my V6 S4.

Now I'm Worried

After writing my comments I spent a little more time reading all of your comments, including the other threads.

I can't ignore all of the comments, knowing that I was agreeing with them just a few days ago.

Tomorrow morning I'm calling Audi Aberdeen to cancel my RS6. I guess I now understand how I was able to pick one up, already specced, at such short notice.

I'm still going to go for the S5 though, so the old RS will still need to go. Just realised I've owned it for over 3 years.
