Audi Finally Refunded My Order

Post by squizrs6 » Sat May 17, 2008 12:39 pm

I guess Audi anticipate this car being a dead horse for new sales but for 2nd hand sales in 12 months a more niche market.
So I have now bought a C4S.

I don't get what you have done ... I had a 996 C4 + another car ... I then combined the two to have the RS4 Avant as I wanted the space and the power ...I have thought about a RS6, but I really need to see one and decide if the 20k loss in year one is worth the exclusivity ...

BTW, keep an eye on the RMS, the 997 still suffers this ...

Just a quick point, don't worry about the RMS too much, I had 6 911's and not one had a RMS problem

Don't do it Andy, after seeing one myself the 20k drop won't be worth it!

The black R8 next to it though.... 8)

I had brand new Boxsters and 996's both had RMS failure's. 997's suffer from the, but less. Its covered by the Porsche extended warranty, so just get this and dont worry about it

Yeh i've just seen the new RS6 in York audi, parked next to an S5. To be honest the 20in rims looked too big and it just didn't quite do it for me. My black B5 RS4 parked next to it got more interest (but the S5 got the most!)

Save the 20k and spend it on fuel or women or beer or tuning what ever you have now.

Test drove an RS6 last week, very fast in a straight line but it wasn't worth £80k & a wait till next April.

My 997 RMS started weeping at 12K and less than 2 years old. Appalling design flaw which has now been in existance for over 10 years!
