Brand new to the sight!! Go easy.

Picked up my S5 just over a week ago and she's a beaut, (see attached photo!!) however, I have just noticed that there is some form of rattle coming form about midway underneath the car when the car is idling. Is this normal? As I add throttle the noise seems to stop. And if this is not normal them does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Welcome to the site. Could be an exhaust rattle mate.

I do think its exhaust related. Just wondered if a) it has been heard of before and b) wether it was common/normal. I think I'll replace the exhaust at some point, but not for a while, so it's perhaps something I can't leave.

Sadly not many s5 owners on here to give their view. Where in the country are you? You could always take it a specialist. Unit 20 are up north and MRC are just below the Midlands. Plenty of other places but I've not had any work done by them so can't comment.

Im Ipswich way mate, so the midlands is the closer for me. I'm going to take it to the guys I got it from to put on their ramp. Problem is, it's not an all the time thing, jus every once in a while. Especially after I give her a blast!!

A garage called Proveeda (they are AWESOME by the way, www.proveeda.com ) I know they'll look at it for me, just worried that the noise won't be there when I take it in, so trying to get ahead of the game so to speak.

Blast it straight back to them then!!!!!

Lovely colour combo, forgot to say. I'm very fond of the A5/S5/RS5 shape.

I love it. I nearly bought an RS4 but I couldn't take my eyes of the S5 shape, and for an RS4 with as high a spec and in as good condition was quite a bit more and I had a budget. (I understand the irony in that statement when my first thread is about a rattle!!) and when I saw the colour of this one I simply had to have it!

Have you had your rattle sorted out yet?
