In an out and out raw track event in perfect conditions I would expect the beemer to win. Given it was only milliseconds I would say that is quite an achievement for the audi.

I am looking for S5 5 spoke rims (the blade type) for the RS4 B5 apart from getting fleeced by your local dealer, is there anyone out there who can supply these rims please that would be suitable for the RS4 B5. I am not sure about the offset etc but wouldnt mind getting a set of these either in 18" (saves buying more new tyres) or 19" and having to buy new tyres as well.
