Moving from Porsche to S5

Post by arS4 » Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:45 pm

Hi there and Merry Christmas :)

I was on here a few years back (as the name would suggest, I had a B5 S4). Since then I've had a few other German cars, with my latest (and longest) being a Porsche 996 Carrera 4.

It's been brilliant and painful at the same time (despite all the due diligence, I still ended up with an expensive engine rebuild).
But the car has been one hell of an experience.

That said, time is ticking on and I'm looking at returning to the fold with an S5. Looking at about an 09/10 car tbh. Auto.

Anybody had experience of this type of move?

I fully appreciate that the handling is going to be different, and I'm prepared for that - my driving and style has changed and something a little different is appealing. Also the tech "upgrade" is also appealing.

I would welcome any thoughts as to ownership etc etc

Cheers ;)

LOL!! Well, I came back onto the forum with a view of posting up about an S5/rs5, and saw this post - I'd not heard anything from the site in 12 months, and I'm still now looking at an s5 :D

Might get some comments a year later :D :D :D
