V10 and Milltek - match made in heaven !

Post by Golffather » Wed May 23, 2012 12:36 pm

If you're still not convinced then watch this.

It's insane and when properly coked in the sound gets deeper and throatier rather than a squeel.

Love it!

1. Get a pair of Milltek C6 DP's copied without the preCATs (AFAIK there aren't any Milltek race DPs, if there are, use those)
2. Run straight 3" from the DPs back to tips.
3. Profit!
I'd do it for shits 'n' giggles.

You could get some silencers made for the rear-end (where the CATback would've been), then just have duel valves opening before the silencers. It'd be louder if you don't add any plumbing leading off the valves, just leave it open and angry, like an open axe wound of shouty V10TT goodness. You'll hear the turbos slicing the V10 burble all the way to 3000 - 4000RPM.

A full deCAT would need a tune but it's bound to be a good thing, quicker spool and a few more ponies.
It's a pretty serious commitment for a guy that goes through cars like you...

You only need to pay MRC for a map tweak though, not a full remap. I'll buy the 'loon when you get the V10 R8 no matter how loud or how long you keep it, I've been doing some numbers and a C6 is do-able, finding a loon with the right spec is impossible.

Budget around £1300 for res and c.£1k for non. I've got the resonated sections you can have for less than retail if you fancy a quieter system.

I would be more than happy to purchase, but unfortunately it would have to make a puddle jump to make it to Texas. That would negate the savings of acquiring yours. Cheers for the offer!
