I'll get some photos on here when she's looking a bit cleaner.
Verdict - Only done 300 or so miles at the moment so give me a few weeks. Initial reaction
Having part-ex'd a B7 RS4 it's a very different car. Great car to look at, the front LED running lights really turn heads when you're driving. Lots of toys come standard, seat are much better (had the buckets in the RS4). Usuall bluetooth problems with the phone, ie. it won't work with either my Sony P900 or a brand new Blackberry 8100 I'm trying. Both handsets will pair with the car but the car doesn't know they are there, most odd.
Anyway, driving it. Ride is hard, no getting away from it. Is it unbearable, only time will tell, but an hour long trip to Shrewsbury the other day was fine until you get off the beaten track and thats when it becomes noticable. You do find yourself driving round even the smallest potholes. The M6 toll however was a different story, awsome, its when it comes into its own. Its not RS4 fast, but above 50 or so I'd say there wasn't much in it.
Twisty stuff - Mmmm? Not really had much chance to really push it.Lots of grip, but you can really tell the engines way up front. Understeer is the order of the day if you dive in too quickly, but plant the right foot on the exit and even with the ESP on you can tell the bias switches to the back and you get that rear wheel drive feeling. I have to say all this is on very wet roads, no dry road driving to speak of yet really. So as I said, give me a couple of months and I'll post again.
P.S. Exhaust note is great though, a real low grumble.
P.P.S. I keep visiting the MTM website, but as yet they are only de-restricting and popping on MTM wheels. I'll wait and see what happens there.
