removing resonators

Post by tmg » Tue Jun 24, 2014 9:07 am

hey

so has anyone removed the front resonators on their C6 exhaust.

I have the back ones out, replaced with an X pipe, and like the noise, but would like to go louder.

Be interested on the feedback on this, don't want to spend Milltek money, but need an improvement!

hey

so I went with a resonator delete (see here for more details) which was a good move from stock.

the sound is addictive though so be warned! you will want more!

I eventually moved on to a non-res milltek, followed by adding in the resonated sections, as non-res was glorious, but a little too loud for me in everyday use

more discussion here and a few pics of what it looks like when I had the resonators deleted from my own car - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... mid=386035

That's my thread on PH.

Don't know if you saw my end result. I'm quite pleased with it, could handle it a bit louder, but it's a good balance.
