Wheel help.

Post by barryrs » Mon Feb 11, 2013 10:40 pm

Seen some replacement wheels that I quite like but just wondered if anyone can offer any advice on what offsets you can run on the S6.

They are the same size of 9x19" but have an offset of 37 rather than 52, so my thoughts being that if I used 10mm spacers the wheel would stick out an extra 5mm which the arches could cope with.

The big but though is would you be willing to run 10mm spacers on an S6 and what else would I need?

Cheers

Ok, seems I know nothing. Doh

Looks like my choice of rim might be quite limiting unless I reduce the rim width to accommodate the reduced offset?

I'm guessing you've already worked out that going from a ET52 to ET37 you are sticking your wheels further out by 15mm then adding 10mm spacers will poke them out another 10mm meaning a grand total of 25mm extra sticking out. That's a hell of a lot but I guess you figured this out alreayd hence the Doh!
