New member - 8P2 S3, a few mods

Post by MartayMcFly » Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:33 pm

Hello everyone,

Haven't been on here before (hence the new member status), but currently a black 8P2 S3 owner, previously had a Ming Blue 8L S3, and now considering a Daytona B7 RS4 saloon. Thought I'd introduce myself and "Ollie". She's got a black grille, genuine 19"x8.5J ET48 'Speedlines' (BBS RS861s) with black centres and polishes lips wrapped in 225/35R19 Falken 452s, 5mm spacers up front to clear R8-Brembo/APR 362mm custom brakes, EvoMS cold-air intake, full TBE Milltek (non-res, special tips), H&R 25mm springs and ARBs... MY11 rear clusters, LED DRL and sidelights... plus all the standard S3 fare. Also, I'm terrible at keeping the car clean so I do apologise.

Now, I'm going to spend a couple of hours scrolling through the forum to see what's going on, what everyone's driving and what exhaust to look for on my next Audi.

My 8L was a nightmare. Great looking car, but constantly having mechanical issues with it (it had done 115k). 8P is better in every way except that it's much less distinctive when surrounded by S-Line BEs.

Ah, my old 8l only had around 47k on it I think and only had maf fault during ownership. Oh and the usual head unit volume control fault.
