Q - Coolant losses

Post by lma07 » Mon Aug 11, 2008 4:59 pm

Just wondered if anyone has experienced coolant losses on their car. So far the stealers have checked over the car several times, pressure testing etc etc and have found no leaks.

Car only back a week from them and its down to the mimimum again

Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated

Cheers

Gasket?

I was losing full coolant --> min in about a week with a 325i I had, albeit an old one and were notorious for this, but it was my head gasket.

I know you car will be fairly new, but perhaps that's why the stealer aren't even considering that, or have they checked already??

Thanks mbelle.

It is not loosing full coolant but still leaking. Its going in next week and will ask them if they have considered this. The car has been in for 3 days for them to investigate but still no joy.

Remove oil filler cap, if it is a creamy colour, then the oil is contaminated with water, ie head gasket gone.
